The Business Content Writer creates resumé and cover letter copy to fulfill and exceed client demands for an effective results-oriented format that favorably persuades hiring decision makers.

Essential Functions

1. Communicates with clients to procure clarity into specific needs and tailor resumé and cover letter to fit their personality, targeted industry, and previous and current success rate.

2. Researches industry technical information to maintain updated knowledge for delivery of best practices in document setup, structure, and content.

3. Learns about each service’s intricacies and the target demographic for each service.

4. Tracks the purchasing patterns of clients and revamps resumé and cover letter copy to align with market demand(s).

5. Organizes workload for efficient time management and fulfills delivery within tight schedule deadlines on time and to client specifications.

6. Systematically reviews copy through step-by-step guide to identify errors and/or misleading content that can be misconstrued by the reader.

7. Maintains accurate and relevant information in resumé and cover letter copy.

8. Proofreads and edits as necessary. Considers copyright laws such as registered and trademarked symbols, country of origin, and material construction.

9. Assists other writers to meet an extensive client inflow beyond workgroup capacity.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

Days and hours of work are (times are in Eastern Time):
Monday through Saturday





No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s in English, journalism, advertising, marketing or recruiting industry related field of study.

2. Error-free, captivating, and comprehensible written and verbal communication, presentation, and editing skills.

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Writing experience in HR or business-related field or industry

2. Demonstrated knowledge of systems, steps, and methods utilized in recruiting processes
