Position Summary

ISPOR is looking for the right candidate to join our meetings team with responsibility for Promoting our successful meetings program. As the leading global scientific and educational organization for health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and its use in decision making to improve health, ISPOR’s meetings are essential global learning, knowledge sharing and networking events. The candidate will promote the meetings through all channels including email campaigns, print pieces, social media, and event signage. Responsibilities include managing web content, print, e-mail and meeting app projects to timelines.

Experience in marketing and/or events preferred but recent graduates able to demonstrate the required abilities including management of multiple projects to deadline are also welcome to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage promotion and marketing strategies for ISPOR events, including creation and management of website content, print pieces, advertisements, email marketing, and social media.

Manage attendee communications to promote meeting attendance and attendee satisfaction, e.g. hotel, venue, schedule information etc.

Create timelines for meeting communications and manage execution.

Analyze effectiveness of marketing approaches through development of metrics and analysis of statistics (e.g. email, website, social media, and registration data).

Manage content and production of event print pieces and ISPOR promotional pieces/advertising.

Manage signage at ISPOR events – directional, attendee services, and working with the Chief Marketing Officer - ISPOR promotion.

Manage mobile app/web platform including contracting with vendor.

Promote use of mobile app/web platform. .

Attend and support event logistics on-site.

Assist with the management of other meeting planning and logistics as directed.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills)

Bachelor’s degree required preferably in marketing, communications, business or related field.

3+ years’ experience in marketing preferred, preferably in event marketing.

Experience marketing international and/or large events (3,000+) preferred.

Experience of event logistics preferred.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Solid numeric abilities and experience with quantitative analysis.

Strong written communications skills, including the ability to communicate with precision and effectiveness.

Strong attention to detail.

Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

Highly organized, with good time management skills.

Successful performance in a matrix/cross-functional team environment with natural affinity for working collaboratively across teams, cultures and experience levels.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite as well as the ability to learn new technology platforms required, proficiency with Google Analytics, Litmus and other tracking systems preferred.

Fluency in a foreign language is desirable.
