POSITION SUMMARY: The Vice President, Program Management is a senior management position requiring multiple business skills and technology experience to manage the delivery of risk adjustment programs to health plan clients. The role requires strong communications skills given significant interaction with external clients and internal senior, middle, and junior staff. The Vice President needs to be fully knowledgeable with designated products and services. This position requires significant independent effort, accomplished leadership skills, analytical skills, financial acumen, ability to initiate and manage complex and abstract assignments, and foster the development of others on similar assignments. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead a team of Directors and Program Managers managing risk adjustment and quality programs, including implementations and ongoing support for health plan clients Manage ongoing client relations, including overseeing business review schedules, risk identification and mitigation activities, problem management, and active items management Establish operational processes to ensure that internal and external timelines are achieved related to client deliverables Interact and support Cross-Divisional Program Managers and Account Managers who oversee complementary products and services for the client from other divisions Coordinate with Technology/Operations, Product, and Data Analytics functions to establish prioritization for execution of client deliverables Lead client issue resolution activities for Decision Analytics, including acting as point person for collaboration with Senior Leadership, Account Management, and IT/Operations to actively address and enhance client satisfaction Assist with product enhancements and new development for the healthcare payer market, working closely with cross-functional team members (IT, marketing, sales, implementation and finance), upper management and external constituents Manage day-to-day activities of a team that includes: assigning tasks, measuring performance through regular performance appraisals, and making hiring decisions Build development plans for associates to assist in career planning. Create an environment that supports training and growth opportunities Define staffing requirements based on business needs Participate in budgeting process and manage financial performance of business unit Perform other work-related duties that may be assigned Travel potential 10% Requirements JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, coordinating multiple tasks and team members Ability to work effectively with demanding clients Experience working with client senior management Health Insurance business and/or technology related to Provider Management, Member Services, or Claims Processing CRITICAL SKILLS: Government-sponsored health plan experience in the Exchange/ACA, Medicare Advantage, or Managed Medicaid market Exchange/ACA, Medicare Advantage, or Managed Medicaid Risk Adjustment and/or Quality Analytics knowledge Data Processing and Web Application knowledge Business and Technology Integration knowledge HIPAA/HITECH ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Strong and effective interpersonal communications, both written and verbal Strong leadership Strong organization and multitasking skills Ability to perform presentations and training Ability to perform under stressful conditions, such as deadlines and concurrent activities Ability to mentor other less tenured associates to develop their skills and facilitate professional development EDUCATION: Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field is desired. The equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
