Position Overview:
Rent The Runway is seeking a results-driven Director with prime responsibilities in overall accuracy and integrity of our Inventory and has an extensive background in strategic/ tactical logistics including inventory management, process innovation, benchmarking and KPIs, lead-time and cost reduction strategies. The candidate should champion continuous improvement efforts that meet the Company s short and long-term growth efforts as it acquires more consumers.

+ Decisive in actions and able to develop a culture of operational excellence.
+ Quality execution skills, the antennae to identify problems early, and the ability to innovate within a traditional industry will be critical to success.
+ Monitors inventory management and financial best practices to ensure success across a complex distribution network and/or site including the impact of technological advancements, especially in regards to WMS (warehouse management systems) Third party software or automation equipment.
+ Sets and utilized operational and financial KPI s.
+ Prepares, communicates and educates team on changes in policies and practices within the organization.
+ Plans and manages business and department processes and practices to ensure that programs are aligned with company business goals and objectives.
+ Pro-actively identifies and plans mid and long term distribution needs; recommending optimum infrastructure/strategies; identifying appropriate in sourcing/outsourcing options.
+ Upgrading distribution (on individual or multiple sites) supply chain processes.
+ Supports the implementation of company programs to ensure the success of the Company.
+ Demonstrate capacity to implement process re-engineering with very hands on approach
+ Challenges and inspires team members to achieve business results
+ Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results
+ Identifies top talents, develops and organizes world-class distribution expertise
+ Builds/maintains effective relationships with cross-functional operations and corporate departments
+ Acts as RTRs ambassador to internal and external business partners
+ Bachelor's degree in business administration, manufacturing, supply chain; MBA preferred.
+ 8-10 years of related experience working in a distribution/logistic, or quality assurance capacity in fast moving consumer goods, retail and/or start-up company
+ Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
+ Experience with developing/documenting procedures
+ Knowledge of Inventory management tools, techniques, analysis and approaches
+ Must also be able to adapt quickly and make changes in a short-period of time at a fast paced and growing start-up environment
+ Problem Solving & Decision Quality: Able to use rigorous logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions.
+ Planning & Priority Setting: Demonstrate an ability to set objectives and goals and organize work appropriately to meet and exceed goals.

+ Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office Suite Excel and PowerPoint)
