**Job Title: Senior Actuarial Consultant, RightOpt Health and Productivity \\(Financial\\)**
**Summary:** Responsible for the delivery of high quality, professional and accurate actuarial analytics services to clients with minimal direction\\. To serve as project manager for specific functional services or projects and support RightOpt client managers and/or vendor management leads in delivery of services to clients, with a strong emphasis on financial and numerical analysis components of project delivery\\.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
? Manage consulting projects within expected timeframe and budget and supervise assigned team members\\.
? Maintain significant contact with RightOpt clients and account teams regarding work product as well as client inquiries\\.
? Support RightOpt carrier financial analysis
? Independently deliver RightOpt financial impact analysis for clients and prospects
? Support and guide RightOpt client teams on consistent underwriting and financial reporting models
? Prepare material for and attend client meetings, make presentations\\.
? Prepare/coordinate reports and letters, with minimal direction\\.
? Report to RightOpt Chief Actuary regularly regarding status of work and client requests\\.
? Assist in the training and motivation of junior level staff\\.
? Maintain in\\-depth knowledge of RightOpt design, vendor partners, and administrative solutions
? Identify new approaches for delivery of consulting services to support RightOpt efforts toward developing innovative solutions for clients\\.
? Assist in improving work processes\\.
? Interact regularly with vendors to gain knowledge of product offering and on behalf of clients to ensure that services and products are provided to match client expectations\\.
? Coordinate and review project assignments to ensure timely and accurate work product\\.
? Consult with other Buck lines of businesses as appropriate regarding projects and/or expanded client relations\\.
? Assist as necessary with the development and presentation of proposals for RightOpt new business opportunities\\.
? Perform renewal evaluations and negotiations\\.
? Develop self\\-funded plan projections, accrual rates and COBRA rates\\.
? Develop IBNR reserve estimates\\.
? Perform claims analysis
? Develop pricing of benefit changes\\.
? Develop pricing and credits for flexible benefit plans\\.
? Perform competitive bidding of services and benefits\\.
? Proactively provide consulting services and develop responsive solutions\\.
? Assist with special projects or assignments as instructed by supervisor\\.
? Attain billable hours objectives \\(apply acquired skills in client\\-productive ways\\)\\.
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required**
? Bachelor's Degree in math, finance, economics or related area preferred\\.
? Formal Actuarial credential preferred \\(taking exams acceptable\\)
? 6 to 8 years of total related experience\\. \\(Includes Buck and prior\\)
? Overall Assessment Rating of 3\\.5/Strong or above\\.
? Participation in professional organization\\(s\\) specific to business\\.
? Significant experience in financial analysis, underwriting and actuarial applications with an insurance carrier, managed care organization, third party administrator, or consulting organization\\.
? Strong mathematical skills\\.
? Project management skills and experience\\.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills\\.
? Strong presentation skills\\.
? Ability to interact effectively with people, both internally and externally\\.
? Demonstrated management and/or supervisory skills\\.
? Strong computer skills\\.
? Self\\-starter and good problem solver\\.
? Good listening skills\\.
? Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills\\.
? Demonstrates proven ability to perform assigned duties of job\\.
? Ability to work on a team\\.
